Bhavai is a popular Rajasthani Folk Dance in which the male or female performers dance nimbly on the top of shattered glass, on the edge of a sword, or on the rim on a brass thali, while balancing a number of earthen pots or brass pitchers on their head simultaneously.
The music for the dance is provided by the male performers singing melodious songs and playing a number of musical instruments, which include pakhawaj, dholak, jhanjhar, sarangi, and harmonium.
